Estate sale

Here is a beautiful NEARLY NEW 1983 Cobra. Properly and carefully built from a WEST COAST COBRA kit, it is fitted with a Ford 460ci V8 engine. This beast has only gone approximately 8000 miles since completion. Always stored inside. The builder/collector/owner recently passed away and this is an estate sale. It has a Nascar Can-Am chassis with power rack and pinion steering; 11-inch vented rotors with 4-piston racing calipers; 4-bar rear axle with 9-inch drop-out center section; 25 gallon race-legal fuel cell; weight 2970lbs (50/50 front/rear). Available with or without a spare fully-rebuilt 460ci engine. Located near Toronto Canada. Pre-purchase inspections and/or appraisals are welcome. Hard to find a nicer example! Asking cdn$56,000.00 (us$45,000) OBO Contact Bob Shapton 519-927-3966

Brake relocation

Rear brake relocation was needed to allow clearance between the coilovers and the calipers. Re-drilled calliper mount bracket holes so the caliper sits about 40 degrees foward from original position. Also had to swap Left & Right brake assemblys to opposite sides, so the hand brake cable now will run on top of the axle & still be accuated by a foward movement. I wonder if others have thought of this solution?

stainless tank

The stainless tank is in place, Diff just about fully done. I noticed bent axles in the donor and sourced a pair in Darwin. New bearings pressed on, a bit of paint and doesn't look too bad.

Early Contemporary trailing arms

Long trailing arms extended forward. These did not work because of the rear axle being solid mounted and the radius of the trailing arm fighting the lower control arm's path.
