Overall Hinge length
The title of the picture is the measurement of the item. This is modifying a Street Beast stock hinge, by adding a piece of 4" pipe in the middle. I used it on my car and I get about 22" of door opening.

4" Pipe installed
This is the height of the 4" pipe, as installed. You may consider 5" or 6" pipe, which would require less cutting of the body. Using larger pipe will affect the other dimensions.

Front of Hinge cut at 3/4"
Here is where the "original hinge" is cut, 3/4" inch, after the hinge pin. This is on the "front side", before the pipe is installed.

Fiberglass Cut for Hinge
OK, this may be a little more fiberglass than you are willing to cut. I don't know how much would be cut with the "Original" SB hinge. I have not had any problems on my doors. This picture is not my door, but a similar one.
