1968 427 SO with SCAT 428 Crankshaft; Eagle rods; JE pistons; Edlebrock heads and RPM Manifold, CompCams camshaft and roller rockers. 530 hp @ 5600; 535 lb ft @ 3600.

460 Manual Cast Iron Ford Bell Housing (aka 351M/400M Bronco)

351M/400M bell housing- This was actually the first part purchased for my project, wow, what a long strange trip its been ! This required the use of a short-input shaft TKO 600 kit. I used a needle bearing type crankshaft pilot bearing.
Re-cond bell housing waiting for her mate for life
uses a top-loader bolt pattern and only 6.25 inches deep great for STREET duty Cobras. Total investment was $210 after heli-coil repair

My 66 Shelby R Clone Specs.


D.S.S. Pro Bullet 306/308 Short Block Level 10 CNC
Rods: Forgings, shot-peened, Magna Fluxed, CNC Diamond resized and fitted with ARP Wave Loc rod bolts. Balanced to racing tolerances.
Crank: Production crankshaft, thermal cleaned, shot-peened, Magna Fluxed, precision ground, oil scooped and chamfered and balanced to racing tolerances.
Pistons: DSS PRO-LITE Forged 2 valve relief flat top, CNC fly-cut for most aftermarket race cams and heads. Balanced to racing tolerances.
Rings: Sealed Power/ Speed-Pro Moly rings.
Bearings: Tri-metal rod and main bearings.
Block: 5.0 roller cam block, thermal cleaned, stress relieved, Magna Fluxed, threads chased, mains checked and corrected, oil galleys tapped for thread in plugs and the decks are CBN squared and equalized.
Transmission- C4 Automatic
Rear End- 8 Inch Detroit Locker 355 Gears.
Gt40Y Heads ported and polished.
Comp Cam by Bennett Racing Cams.

Thrust Bearing Debris

Didn't install the new tranny correctly and it jammed the crankshaft into the thrust bearing. This is the result.

Short section of hoses are slipped over main-cap studs to protect main-bearing journals when installing crankshaft. Note reinforcing strap on center main-bearing cap.
