Ford G7-A CanAm car
Derivative of the GT40 Mk IV, the G7-A was powered by a prototype three-valve FI engine driving through an automatic transaxle. Note wing. Outboard ends are supported at suspension uprights and inboard above transaxle. Exhaust was fabricated from titanium tubing. No expense spared.

Ed Hull, designer of GT40 Mk IV and G7-A CanAm car conversing with KarKraft shop forman. G7-A is based on GT40 design. Note wing mount. Center is support by pivot with strut mounted to top of transaxle, thus sprung. Outboard ends are supported by struts mounted on suspension uprights, thus unsprung.
