Shell Valley build
Front spindles with 11 inch rotors and GM calipers. These were removed from the frame so that the frame could be painted. The Mustang II 11 inch disc brake conversion was from aceautoparts4u's eBay store. Great prices!

Powder Coated Calipers and Clutch Arm
I powdercoated my front calipers Argent Silver, to match the rear calipers. I did the clutch arm, because I could.

Trying to make the Kirkham K tiremarks in the snow?
Could it be that I was intentionally trying to make a giant Kirkham "K" symbol in the snow and failed?
Or could it be that I just slid off the driveway when it was icy and struggled to get back on it.

Snowbanks outside my house (Mar 2008)
In 2007 and in 2008, we received 12 feet of accumulated snowfall in Ottawa. The snowbanks were so high, you could literally step onto the roof of my house from them. This photo was taken in March 2008, once the snow had begun to melt.

Skylight and garage fan
What seemed like a great idea at the time, that didn't quite work out - a ceiling fan to circulate air, and a roof skylight to let in natural light. The fan restricted the height I could raise the lift - I eventually deleted it. The skylight (brightest rectangle to the right) attracts bugs who overheat and die, dropping onto the cars. And, even though the contractor ASSURED me, "these new skylights won't leak" - it does in a heavy rain. So for Winter storage, I have to put a plastic shower curtain over the car cover so the water dripping down will run off and not soak the car cover.

Picking her up from GForce
Here's what I was presented with when I went to pick up the car from Rob at GForce. Needless to say, you couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

Space-Saver spare on Campagnolo rim
Weldcraft Wheels in Livonia, MI narrowed a 7" wide Pantera rim down to 5.5" so that I could mount a collapsible Space-Saver spare tire on it.

Shelby Show 5/11/13
"Honey, yes, I need 2 gallons of distilled water and a bunch of microfiber cloths".
I crept at a snail's pace in a long line of Shelby's latest Mustangs for almost 30 minutes and it was starting to get hot. They finally let me in. I got out, stretched and poof! The green steam show. Luckily the hood was down because people could have been burned and the Tiger next to me wouldn't have been happy. Coolant shot out of the hood scoop like a toddler sneezing through his nose. Nothing some water and a 5/16" wrench couldn't fix but what a mess.
Thanks for the help, Dean! (RedBarchetta)
Woudn't have been the same without 'cooler heads' (pun intended) prevailing!

Original Cobra From My Home Town
A Cobra comes home: Now worth $1 million, rare car returns to Lincoln. The last time this car was in Lincoln, its owner had just finished grad school and had no idea it could make him a millionaire.
Steve Woehrle paid $5,300 for the second-hand Shelby Cobra from an O Street corner car dealer in 1973, and now he was shifting it into drive and running north out of town, first to a teaching gig in South Dakota and then to a long-term tenure in Minnesota.
Woehrle and his Cobra are returning to Lincoln next weekend, but the retired professor won’t be behind the wheel. Instead, the car he bought 45 years ago will arrive by truck and trailer, with a security detail and an estimated value of more than $1 million.
College student bought this 1965 AC Shelby Cobra in Lincoln for $5,300 in 1975. Today, it has estimated value of more than $1 million. The car is on display at Okoboji Classic Cars but will return to Lincoln July 13-15 during the Mustang Club of America’s national show outside Pinnacle Bank Arena.
