G-tech speed graph comparison.
All cars tested by Greg Schroeder in same location, same G-tech Competition meter, correct calibration with 12 inch rollout standing start stage. Representation has a slight variant of exact comparison due to different days of testing. For reference DA(density altitude) can be determined per date and time of testing per car by using weather history for Scottsdale, Arizona, Bell & 56st. http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/index.asp

Ford_Raditor_Heat_Rejection_Chart- Street Rod Example

This chart compares the heat rejection rate (cooling capacity) of three different types of radiators tested on an old Ford Street Rod. Coolant flow rate is held constant at 7 gpm (typical flow at idle perhaps, not sure where its being measured ???). It graphs the heat rejection for each radiator versus air flow through the radiator core. It is comparing 3 diff rad designs/materials at different CFMs through the core. The more air flow you have for a given coolant flow rate (7 gpm in this example) , the higher the heat rejection, basically linear in this example. The author of this graph is most likely selling the high efficiency radiator showing the improvement over the other two designs. To sum it up, the radiator at the top of the chart appears to be the most efficient at a low coolant flow rate (7 gal/min) over all air flows tested. Ya see how important rad core/tank design is? I learned something here.

429_and_460_water_pump_flow

I learned that Edelbrock makes the water pump for the Ford Racing 460 Crate engines. This is part number M-8501-C460 or Edelbrock # 8866. The flow values were provided by Edelbrock via their TECH HOT LINE, I graphed them as a visual aid.

Another new toy !! Newbomb Turk's 1956 Pie Wagon

This 1956 Chevrolet sedan delivery was mildly hot rodded in the 1970's, with a 327 and automatic transmission, and painted orange. It was placed for sale in the front yard, and purchased by Columbia Pictures in 1979 for an upcoming movie, "Hollywood Knights". Graphics were added to the side panels, and rear door hatch, transforming into the main character's car, Newbomb Turk's Pie Wagon, featuring Robert Wuhl. After the filming was completed, selected movie theater owners were entered in a raffle, and the winner won this vehicle, residing in the Massachusets area. After 15 years, the car was sold locally to a "Chevy" parts guru. He removed the body, cleaning / sand blasting the frame, rebuilding the suspension, and transplanting in a new crate 350 with a muncie 4 speed. The exterior of the car, and interior of the car was left in the same condition that it has when it appeared in the movie. Great car.
