Collapsible Spare Tire
My collapsible Goodyear "Space-Saver" spare tire. Note it's an ultra-rare "Blue Streak" model (-; (one of one).
Wheel is a special order 5.0" PSE aluminium FIA rim.

Collapsible Spare Tire
Here is my "standard" load - Collapsible Spare seated between Halon and Battery box (air inlator bottle in green "wine cooler" bag).
Two folding chairs, California Duster, and emergency tool kit on lower level. Small scissors jack, knock-off hammer, safety wire & pliers, couple screwdrivers and spark plug socket w/rachet.
Soft top is only loaded when it looks like it will be needed. Miscellaneous "waxer" supplies in small black box to right of tool box.

Collapsible Spare
I had a Campagnolo magnesium wheel narrowed to fit an inflatible collapsible spare tire. Polished it to match the road wheels.

Collapsible spare tire
This is what my trunk looks like with a collapsible spare tire mounted on a narrow (5") PSE Halibrand wheel. Plenty of room left for tools, wax, and whatever else.

Arntz wheel well doors
Arntz Type 4 only; not on any Butlers. There's one of these doors on each side of the car, at the rear of the rear wheel wells. They open to the space between the rear bodywork and the frame rails. This one on the passenger side allows access to the battery compartment and slide-out tray. The one on the driver's side supposedly allows you to store a collapsible spare tire but I have not found one with a small enough initial diameter to fit through the door. The wheel has to be taken off first to be able to open the doors.

PSE 5.0" wide FIA style "spare" rim
I mounted a 15" Goodyear collapsible spare onto a 5.0" wide rim that Phil Schmidt made for me. Then I painted a blue stripe on it, and highlighted the GoodYear lettering

Space-Saver spare on Campagnolo rim
Weldcraft Wheels in Livonia, MI narrowed a 7" wide Pantera rim down to 5.5" so that I could mount a collapsible Space-Saver spare tire on it.
