Below are some pics of where the vins should be on the hinges. For clarification, the numbers are not on the hinges themselves, but are on the brackets the hinges mount to. This means the numbers are on the doors, hood, and trunk lid. Since you car looks like a long boot (trunk) car, I would expect there to be 3 numbers in these locations.

If you can find any numbers, Tony should be able to provide you info on whether it is a BEX or AEX car. I have records also, but I will not have access to them for a couple of days.
In an odd coincidence, most of my family lives in Redlands and so it would probably be easier for me to swing by San Bernardino in the future instead of you lugging the car to Ojai.
