Car Transporters
I would like advice for selecting a transporter to ship my car about 200 miles from Portland Oregon to the Seattle area (Bainbridge Island). So far I have bids from Nexus, Montway, and Intercity and am waiting for one from Reliable. I know Intercity is highly rated but $2000 for a four hour drive seemed high and it was about twice that of the other two. So far I am tending toward Montway and would like to know if anyone has an opinion about them.

Hey Jon, When transporting my car from Tennessee to the Seattle area, I used Interbay Transport (ITL) and was very happy with them (covered transport), this was a few yrs back in early 2020 with prices less than 2k at the time. Would expect that something between here and Portland would be significantly less. They are headquartered out of the greater Seattle area and took great care of my ride.

200 miles is nothing, I've driven 200 miles to have breakfast with friends and family. Why not simply rent a truck and trailer and take it yourself?

Yeah, Cobras fit quite nicely on the U-haul trailer and if you don't have one you can rent the truck to tow it too. I hauled my Cobra to Vegas twice on the U-haul.
If you don't want to do it yourself instead of haulers look into getting a local towing company. Or AAA.

Depending on the quotes I will consider renting a truck and trailer as you suggest.

Problem Solved
Thank you to those that responded to my request for transporter services, especially "Alfa02" (Tom). I followed the advice of "mrmustang" (Tony) and will rely on AAA in the unlikely event that there is a breakdown. I had no idea that they would tow long distances, although very expensive for additional miles over 200.

You're Welcome, Jon. Hope to see more of you since you will be in B.I. (40mi.) Our last outing to Pacific Raceways, we had 17-Cobras, 2-Newer GT's, 2-GT-40's, and 1-55 T-Bird. Is your other hobby making it up here?? (Model Trains) Cheers Tom.
