Default Yes it's HOT, but...

3:00pm North Scottsburg 104 degrees

EGO: I need a Cobra fix!
ALTER-EGO: But it's too hot!
EGO: Not so bad if we're moving along at 50+
ALTER-EGO: But the car has been in the shop for two weeks and it's dirty!
EGO: Who cares? This isn't the Pavillions, you know!
ALTER-EGO: Just be patient. It'll cool off some day.
EGO: After weeks of vacation and shop time, "Some day" is today, Pal!

So........ EGO won out. Ran a bunch of errands, filled up with gas and got 30 miles out Carefree Hwy and back. One nice stretch goint Eastbound with a loafer pickup in the right lane gave me an excuse to pass with a vengeance on the right. No access, no cars, yeehaah! Looking down to see if we're tickling 100mph yet, see the Sheriff heading Westbound. Hit the brakes!!! Luckily, he must not have been paying attention, heh^heh!

Nothing beats the the angry growl of that 427 when I punch the Silver Bullet.

Cheers,
Steve

(been in the pool, but not admitting to being overheated)

After waiting as long as you did for that POS, I fugure you would be driving everyday.

The neat part of the DRY HEAT, is that at 50 plus MPH feels like a steel mill pouring off slag.

speaking of slag; I took a little gas spin tonight myself; at 8PM it was 99 on my back porch so I took a chance. Drove Greenway to Nothern and back. Couldn't wait to get back home. Temp gage said somewhere between 210 and 600; Air was working but still unconfortable driving. Hard top trying to save me but too much hot air trying to get in or cool air trying to get out.

Mike,

Guess I'll have to show up for a few club events to prove to you the Silver Bullet is not a POS, ha ha! Or am I missing another meaning to that acronym?

Anyway, hot is hot!

Dave,

If your car ever gets finished you can join us also.

Look at it this way. It should be done before prime driving season.

Tucson John,

Think you're right. The heat is getting to me. I drove another bunch of miles today in the 104-110 degree heat. Ran errands in Scottsdale, and had lots-o-fun. For some funny reason, I didn't get all that hot, probably attributed to the route, which avoided most of the traffic and lights.

Steve, you're great ! Those guys back east think that we are crazy for driving around in this heat. I guess that the difference is that we can drive our Cobras in the worst weather ( summer) but they can't drive in the winter. I bet that you are still getting "thumbs up" and waves from the public. John
