With the logic stated above I can only conclude that they'd be rid of the accelerator pedal and any numbers on the speedo that read above 110kph.
(ie: The current max speed allowed in VIC)

I mean those numbers are just baiting and tempting drivers really aren't they?!

On a separate note the reason I like and own a COBRA is because it lacks all these BS superfluous gimmicks Ie. Cruise control, electronic this, that and the other.

Line lock - another ingenious solution to a problem that never existed.
Puh-leease!

Rant over. Just my humble 2cents.
You're all welcome to round down and disregard.

Jeez, you're not becoming a bit cynical are you ?
I mean, everyone knows that traffic fines are a tax and not a penalty.
In reality they could stop speeding tomorrow if they choose to.
First offence-$5000 fine loose licence AND car for 6 months !
2nd offence $10,000 fine, 6 months in Jail and forfeit your car, and you can never get a license to drive again EVER.
They will never do it of course, because they won't get re-elected.
Although I'm in QLD I really do sympathise with you guys in NSW & Vic. Its bad enough here but nothing like what you guys have to put up with.
QLD Police stats on the road toll have shown in the past 10-15 yrs that speeding can (maybe or could) be DIRECTLY contributable to less than 18% of fatal accidents. If there is NO satifactory cause/explanation-then they were speeding !!
This political annoucement authorised by one cranky Cee Uo Next Tuesday
