This is really unacceptable and the OP is really handling it with calm and patience. Personally I'd be demanding more from the installer and manufacturer. After delivering a car with that many issues, not to mention dangerous, I'd be finding somebody trustworthy locally to make the car right (and it sounds like it will be some $) and make sure I'm being reimbursed.
