still for sale but ebay cancelled my auction cause i stated that i would accept partial trades (violates their policy) so that link wont work now, below is the description i had on ebay
but i may have some one interested so i will wait a little while before i relist it on ebay, anyone wanting pics email me........vinny
Factory Five Racing 1965 427 S/C Cobra Replica
Hand built by owner in aprx 900 hours
Over $32000 invested and i have almost every receipt
See my other auctions for a trailer for this car

Pictures of the entire build can be seen at www.clubphoto.com just do an album search on ovrbdgt@optonline.net or paste the following link into your browser http://members14.clubphoto.com/vince...r-0670-1.phtml
you can also learn more about a factory five cobra by going to their website at www.factoryfive.com
Body and Paint
Show quality paint by Circus Custom Paint, Farmingdale NJ (a custom paint shop specializing in high end resto, exotics and race cars) color is Lamborghini (Superformance)Titanium with marlin blue stripes (basecoat/clearcoat), using top of the line PPG paint and their best clear, the car was also primed using top of the line PPG urethane two part sealers and primers
Vinyl ester Fiberglass body was opened up (rough sanded)and allowed to off gas during the build, then heat cured, all of the seams were ground down and filled with vinyl ester filler to prevent any flashing or air pockets in the seams to crack or move under the paint, the entire inside of the body was undercoated to prevent any rocks thrown up from the tires or road from starring or chipping the paint, these extra steps insure a stable body that will not warp, twist, or crack or chip years down the line ruining your paint job.
Convertible Top
The top for this car is being custom made by Rick Young and is almost done, it will be made out of the same fabric(Hartz cloth) as new cars, Rick’s tops are unique in that the top folds behind the seats on the body and is neatly covered and is available immediately whenever you need it unlike the others that you have to get out of the trunk assemble and snap on your cars body, Ricks top design eliminates the need to drill into your body to install snaps that are required for other soft tops and is removable too. Rick’s tops are in high demand as I believe he has a year or two waiting list already, I believe his Hartz cloth tops (upgraded from vinyl) are now Aprx. $2200 with shipping. If you did not want the top we can work out a price for the car without it as I am sure I will have no problem selling the top by itself.
You can see his tops at www.clubphoto.com just do an album search for crzn427@yahoo.com or click the following link or paste this link into your browser(whichever works for you) http://members15.clubphoto.com/crzn6...13/guest.phtml

This car was built as a keeper, I never planned on selling it, almost everything in the car is new and this car is built right. While I am not a professional mechanic I have worked on cars and bikes as a hobby for over 20 years, including a few classic mustang rebuilds and restorations and a few motorcycle rebuilds and am known as somewhat of a perfectionist, hence the 900 hours it took to build this cobra in around a year and a half, I took my time and enjoyed the build, I am only considering selling it to free up some cash for an addition to the house as well as a different (4 door) family vehicle, when I started the build my wife wasn’t even pregnant now we have a 5 month old and many things will have to change since we are planning on having another, please note I am not in financial distress and do not NEED to sell the car, i just wish to raise some cash, to make things a little easier without having to disturb our financial plan, therefore I would consider partial trades plus cash, we have a 2 door explorer that we plan to sell or trade in on a larger 4 door vehicle, I would also consider a classic ford or hot rod or motorcycle plus cash (hey I need some kind of toy), I could also use a quad (preferably a 4x4) so let me know what you have and your offer and if I am interested I will get back to you.You are welcome to make an offer but please no lo ball offers as I will not give this car away, as it is I will sell this car for less than the price of the parts alone cost me, and with only a 1000 miles on it its like having a car built for a free 900 hours worth of labor, if I cant find a buyer I will happily keep and enjoy it, it is the best car I have ever owned both in performance and head turning looks
I am located in central NJ and would prefer this item be picked up, If you can arrange shipping i will ship ,although It would have to be paid for in full and you would assume responsibility for the shipper,I may help deliver or drive if local or for a fee, thanks for looking and good luck bidding

PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS, these auctions cost real money I AM AN HONEST EBAYER AND EXPECT THE SAME FROM MY BIDDERS, IF YOU HAVE NEGATIVE OR NO FEEDBACK YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELLED UNLESS YOU EMAIL ME WITH CONTACT INFO INCLUDING A PHONE NUMBER SO WE MAY SPEAK

You can always put a line on your personal web page about taking something in trade, or considering an offer offline, Ebay cannot say anything about that one....

Lightbulb How 'bout that Rick Young soft top?

I'm sure you've already had offers but I'd love to buy the soft top you have on the way. I wouldn't want to interfere with any pending offers you have, but if it helps you drop your car's price it might be worth it to you to sell it seperate? Let me know what you think?

Would you please forward Rick Young's contact info for the soft top. You have a very nice car (and I love your plates) but I have a Cobra - Good Luck on your sale.
Cheers,
