Whose Hurricane is this?
Gray/silver, billboards, satin sidepipes, chrome roll bar and quick jacks.
It's... PERFECT!

Hi Aaron, that is my Hurricane, ole #6. Ain't she cute? She's purring in the garage here in Cypress this evening because its a tad chilly. She's getting some Christmas presents installed and a mild winter tune-up in preparation for the Big Bend Open Road Race. Feel free to come take a look, PM or email me.
We are in the process of taking the pipes, rollbar and jacks back to black for that "vintage" look. Here it is at Mandola's in Dripping Springs back in October.

Jim,
My wife and I got married at Mandola earlier this year! I just showed her the picture and she about lost it. I've been lusting after YOUR car on Hurricane's website for months, so to find out that we've already corresponded is a real treat.
One of these days I'll have to see it in person. Maybe I'll drag the wife along. Something tells me that she'll have to say yes to a Cobra once she sees yours in person!
Cheers,
Aaron

Jim, The car is looking really good! I like the black pipes it gives that all business look. It's been a while since you stopped by to check up on the car. Stop by or send a PM and we will run out to the painters shop to check the car out.

Here is an interesting thread from a few years back on the origins of the Hurricane molds.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Don, you've been awfully quiet around the corner, I assume your car is in paint? Let's definitely go for a run when you get it done and we'll see how that small block does.
I have really enjoyed this, my first Cobra replica. I was hell-bent on painting it when I bought it (it was a 1500 mile turn-key minus) but after spending 6 months tearing it down to the frame and rebuilding it my way, I lost the patience to wait another 2 months while it was repainted. Eighteen months later I am glad I kept it this color. Its a unique paint (1994 Lambo titanium) and with the side oiler and Billboards I do get asked alot if is an original. Taking the pipes and hardware back to black is all part of trying to give it more of that CSX patina.
The new Hurricane body has had some nice improvements, including extending the rocker panels from street car to S/C length, as well as additional improvement in the amount of time needed from delivery to "ready-for-paint." The mold lines are all but non-existent and Steve and the boys in Iowa are building a great car.
