    Dallas,

    Read an old post and saw you had some starter alignment issues with a Lakewood. I have a similar issue with the starter not engaging enough. What did you do to make yours engage? I have a Aluminum Shelby 427 / Lakewood / 184 tooth flywheel and cannot get any starter to effectively fit laterally to the flywheel. Any advice would be helpful

    You can certainly get the IDA's to perform well for street driving. Like the others have said, good linkage is essential. Other important factors are low fuel pressure and good fuel filters....

    Try blowing out the lines from the far end back into the tank. If you get an air bubble, sometimes the pump can't get good suction.
