    According to the Steeda web site their shifter is for the T5 not the TKO 600. Not sure what tranny you have in the car. The Hurst and Jordan shifters are for the TKO tranny.

    I installed a Jordan shifter in my car. I really like it. The Jordan shifter is round and will not mess up the boot in time. Thought about the Hurst shifter but found out the large rectangle shaft...

    remove 4 screws on the boot ring, slip boot off old shifter, remove two 1/2" bolts from the shifter, swap shifters reverse the order...Time including cleaning, getting out and putting away two tools.

    I've never had to trouble shoot the light switch but using a volt meter is pretty simple. And if you have read any of my posts... you know I am simple. :) Start at the battery, meter set to 12v....

    Had a similar problem but it was the relay. The dimmer switch is a VW switch, could be the problem had mine replaced once because the little dimmer button on the stalk went TU.
