I learn so much from this forum. It is a shame that the site is dying a slow and painful death....
Back to the observations and insights in this thread. I just confirmed that I have a steel Lakewood unit in my car.
Thanks Jeff for all the insights that you continue to share here for all to benefit.

Jeff,
I thought of buying that plate for you years ago!! I had been watching for a 2375 plate for your build at the time when I saw it on ebay... glad it found the right home! Too funny

That is one great looking MKIV, not sure of the color but could be Princess?
Mine is Viking Blue, early team color.

That's real close! Princes Blue is a strange color, a blue tint in some light, like the car above, but pure silver in other light. No mater what, that is a nice color on the MKIV! Incidentally, Carroll never demanded a color change, I don't think he cared, he just wanted the cars to win, and even, go fast red doesn't make a car faster. Cheers, Dennis

It’s the small gains that feel so good.
Seat tracks check
Steering boss connected to steering
As far as paint, they all have a flip to them.
The Viking and Gaurdsman have a green flip.
Well, there is plenty to do next weekend.
