I have a forged steel 391 crank with the snout already turned down but the real 427 cranks also have hollowed out throws with plugs in the end and are crossdrilled.
I think the cast cranks are fine...

The clutch would fit a T5 and you can get a simple plate adapter to use it with the scattershield but a T5 is not strong enough for a 429-460.
