Tom, that may not be the same car as the video is referencing, or is it?

HM got permission from the FIA to build four cars for vintage racing. The rules are very strict as to what constitutes a "continuation" car allowed to compete. One of those cars is competing in Europe right now. A gray one, the #1 car. The #2 car is white and is currently listed for sale on the HM web site.

#2 is a 427 side oiler, dual carbs on a HM intake, Jericho road racing 4 speed, DRUM brakes in the rear, 3.50 gear ratio, as per original specs. The original Thunderbolt drag race cars were the "post" body, which was shorter than the Fairlane 500 body. The road race cars are using the Fairlane 500 body. The only allowed variances from the original specs are increased roll bar strength and a couple of other minor safety related items.

As to WHO or WHICH car, with or without additional mods, is running the "Ring" remains a little cloudy. As I understand it the car in the video is privately owned, sold by HM to somebody with very deep pockets!

The aluminum DASH was cast from the original WOOD MOLD that HM still has. This is truly a "continuation car" and would be accurate to call a true "replica". The term "replica", in it's actual definition, cannot be applied to our replica Cobras. We have something less than a "replica", all though, we commonly use that inaccurate term to describe our cars...

The car in the video MAY BE the #1 GRAY car from HM, which is currently racing in Belgium. More info can be found here:
