KC has a 390 advertised on his website for $12K, but that obviously wouldn't include a date coded 427 S/O block.

Again, I wanted to reduce the weight on the nose and of the complete car. I think getting a modern alloy block with a 100-125 lb weight reduction, priority main oiling, improved head sealing, etc. was worth the extra $7,000 difference, at least according to the two KC engines listed on his website.
