Thanks for the info, I was going to disconnect the safety switch so that I could start the car in reverse and avoid grinding the gears.

Decided to pull the damn trans and fix the real problem rather than just temp fix by bypassing the lockout switch.

This isn't going to be cheap either.

But, I was tempted!
