It's time to get out the lap top, plug in and plot your timing values. Using the MAP sensor in the MSD box to simulate a vacuum advance unit could be especially problematic. But in either case (Mallory or MSD), it's a valid solution for the delima of weights and springs and limiters. Risky, but valid.
