Hi Dennis,
My experience with all ignition control boxes is bad ground wires. The ignition box burns out after the alternator spikes the voltage and the box is done.
I recommend multiple ground wires. Battery to engine. Battery to frame & body (on metal cars) and make sure they are good connection.
I use the MSD products and install the MSD 6AL with rev control on almost every car or engine package.
