If you are referring to the rubber donut style vibration damper, consider its location in regards to your headers. You might melt it…Maybe finding the source of the vibration would be a better exercise.
Wheel balance is a common problem. I found that balancing my tires (I used the Road Force Balancing system) at the same tire pressure that I actually run the tires at rather than at the normal 32 psi made a huge difference. I put new tires on 2 weeks ago and they are smooth as glass on the road - first attempt at balancing.
