By clunking sound, I meant the kind of sound you would hear if you were to run over something in the street. Something of metal that would bounce up and hit the car underneath. And last time it happened, it turned out to be a bolt that fell off my car. Consequently, I made that assumption this time.
As for "total discombobulation," the car runs fine.
But when you hear a sound as if you drove over something, and there is nothing in the road that you can see, you want to make sure. . .
And the only thing I can find is the nut at the end of the rod as explained before.
All my bolts are color-marked, if that is the right term, that is, a little red paint on the bolt and the background, so you can easily tell if any of them move.
Except the one possibility (above).
