I had a fair amount of knowledge about cars before my build and now have a tremendous amount of knowledge after the build. You have good and bad build days but the payoff is fantastic!

Take your time, do as much research as you can, read this forum, etc. This forum is so helpful and was an essential part of my build.

Ask yourself what skill set you bring to the table and are you willing to take the time to learn more. Do you have friends who are knowledgeable about cars?

I built my car myself but in a way it is farthest from the truth. I called a friend of my mine many times, I used this forum countless times, placed a fair amount of phone calls to B & B and researched the hell out of the Internet.

While I did all of the wrench turning I still had quite a network of support.
