Since most of the chili recipes are secret, everyone should make the chili at home and bring it prepared and in a crock pot, ready for sampling. The entrants should each contribute a fee for participation and the winner take all. It may be something to consider for the Christmas Party. Since the participants can't be judges, a panel of wives or non-contestant members should be selected as judges. Possibly 5 to 7 folks (an odd number to preclude a tie). They should be aware that this is a CHILI tasting event and the possibility/probability of spicey hot is likely. So no WIMPS! It would be a great event to invite other clubs to elect thier idividual champions and perhaps hold a Car Club Chili Cook-off to benefit charity. This could become an annual event.
