Interesting, I just demolished one in Gloucester NJ 2 weeks ago right on the Del River. It was a Paceco Crane built in the 60's and retrofitted in the 90's to handle heavier containers. We put some strategic cuts in it and pulled it over with 2 @ 100,000 lb excavators and 1 1/4" cables-there is a You Tube video of it but I do not know how to post links. You may be amazed at how the lattice tubing makes these things stable, once you cut it out; however, all bets are off-the thing came down like a house of cards only a bit more controlled since that is what I do evryday
