It's way too soon to make any educated judgements about the why's and what for's in this case.
It's just plain sad that so many little kids and adult lost their lives for nothing, but there's not much anyone can do to correct this problem.

My feeling is that there are too many young, entitled adults, without real values that freakout whenever things get tuff. I know from experiences and individuals in my own family that parents who failed to provide good leadership, guidance and enforce consequences have ended up with childish young adult kids that can't cope.
