Default Leaking AN Joints

Hi All,

I am putting the body on my car for the final time tomorrow and just in the process of getting everything that will be difficult to access all finalised.

I tested my fuel system for the first time last night and i have a couple of AN fittings that have a very small leak. One at the fuel pump and one at the fuel rail. Its not even enough to drip! The bottom of the joint is slightly wet with fuel after holding pressure for about 10mins and evaporates before it gets big enough to be a drip. So very very small leak but enough to be a pain.

Funnily enough, i thought the flares i did might leak, but these are fine, its just where the an fittings screw onto couples/fittings. Ive tried cleaning them out and retightening but still getting the leaks. They are brand new from summit and are all the correct 37' fittings.

Any tips for getting a good seal on AN joints?

At least where the leaks are can be easily accessed with the body on, but i would still like to get the fuel system all leak free before body on.

Cheers.
