BTW, if you use AN yes...but somewhere on a fuel pump or filter, there will be an AN to NPT adapter fitting...in which you will have to seal.....
as you screw in a NPT shards of tape do get peeled off and migrate into the fuel 9 times out of 10 they just pass through and get caught by a filter
but when they get caught some where bad it can be a drivability burden to diagnose.
