I had one installed on my Cobra. You'll be able to see better to the rear, but you will be constantly adjusting the mirror. You can't believe how much the windshield flexes at different speeds. When adjust for driving around town, then go out on the freeway, you can't see anything. Then when you go back to around town driving you'll have to adjust it again. Also while the windshield is flexing, it's also easing tension on the rod, causing the mirror to shake. Just my experience with the rod. If you're looking for better vision to the rear, have someone machine you spacer to mount under the mirror and keep it mounted to the dash.
