Default Windshield center rod support

Does anyone know of a windshield center rod support kit for the Superformance?
I know finish line sells one but it's universal and has no instruction.
Does anyone have a couple pictures of how they mount?
Thanks
Dan

I had one installed on my Cobra. You'll be able to see better to the rear, but you will be constantly adjusting the mirror. You can't believe how much the windshield flexes at different speeds. When adjust for driving around town, then go out on the freeway, you can't see anything. Then when you go back to around town driving you'll have to adjust it again. Also while the windshield is flexing, it's also easing tension on the rod, causing the mirror to shake. Just my experience with the rod. If you're looking for better vision to the rear, have someone machine you spacer to mount under the mirror and keep it mounted to the dash.

I just want the rod for support when using the soft top.
My mirror is mounted to the dash and will stay there.

Default Windshield Support Bracket

I copied mine off of Lynn Park's CSX2259. Made a drawing and had the guys at Weldcraft in Livonia, MI fab it up for me. It's a bear to install, probably exacerbated by the fact that I have my windshield laid back so far.

regards,

Jeff

I have a Superformance (SP01400) and it does not have a center rod. It has a crease down the middle of the windshield.
I was wrong. it does have a center rod. I was wrong...

My car has the rod down the center of the windshield and the mirror assembly. I never think about it being there and it doesn't obstruct my view.....it is TERRIBLE for actual use. I have to physically reach up and grab it to keep it still if I want to see out of it. I have a decent size cam so maybe if you had a smoother less crammed up engine it might not be as bad. I will see if I can get over to where I keep the car this weekend and take some pictures for you. Remind me end of week

The way Jeff has his attached at the top is the way to go. My came from Finishline and just hooked over the top of the frame. The wind pressure made the frame flex and the mirror pretty much useless.

Default Rod

Your Superformance Dealer is the best source for the rod.
