Mine was the same way. Had a quick ratio flaming river rack and pinion. Wrist turn= lane change.
After adjusting suspension, alignment, balance, etc. it was still sensitive. I just learned to live with it. After a while, you'll never notice it. Your previous owner might have been an auto crosser and needed the quick ratio steering.
If you want to change the rack to a slower ratio, I believe they go for about $700 not including installation.
