Ok, I think I have some of this in the post above, but it's an 86' Capri, 3200#'s, T-5, 2.73 gear, and I'm wanting a Torque-Monster.

Mr.Fixit, what is a 6200rpm motor? Is that a certain rod / crank combo? I've heard 396 (or 393?) is a better street motor than a 408. I was thinking the rpm range would be like 2500-6500 for a really torquey motor? So Alum. heads are better than cast iron? The machanist I was going to use said the iron would be more durable?
