First you should determine what top loader you have, i.e. what car did it come out of originally. I used a stock Ford gear that I picked up at the local Ford dealership (<$15). Part number CODD-17271-B.
The eBay link that you posted is for the gear that is internal to the tranny and goes on the main shaft.
