It would be much safer for the drivers to have the fuel lever selector positions up on the dash, the less time the drivers took their eyes off the road the better!
On another note Armado's photo shows the padlocked fuel cap and the Smiths Chronometric tachometer that were also used on the FIA Cobras (green circles).
