You should be able to level the stalk with the dash (in resting position), so the tonneau will fit. The issue for me is keeping it there. It only stays tight for a while before it wants to start spinning. Put a small dimple in the tube with a drill for the set screw to seat it in, or there is a thread here about spinning the whole column here:

There should be a small threaded rod in back of the steering wheel that can be adjusted out slightly to fix your self cancelling issue.
