Hi Glen,
The ends of the dash are curved inward and are mounted to the cowl/scuttle tube above the door hinge bracket. Also through the glovebox area if used. I would recommend additional bracing to the 3/4 tubes behind the middle as well. Check out 1985 CCX's scratch builds for detailed 289 build pics..
