The Boss 302 heads were essentially Cleveland heads fitted to the Windsor block. Cleveland heads will bolt to a Windsor block but it requires a special intake manifold.

If you look at the close up of the carburetor, you can see something grey just below the valve cover - I think that's a spacer/adapter to make the Boss valve covers fit a Windsor head. Also, if you look at the header side of the the valve cover, it seems to hang out over the headers and header flange quite a bit. Another thing: Boss intake ports are larger and more rounded than the Windsor; those just look like regular 289/302 intake port shapes to me. I think someone wanted the panache of a Boss 302 without spending the big bucks.

I haven't fooled with the Boss parts in nearly 40 years, so I'm a little rusty on ID.
