Or a bushing is shot and anchor point loose. Happens a lot with poly bushing especially if movement is not linear with the bushing and puts it in a twist. Old Corvettes (63-82) exhibit this behavior when their trailing arm bushings are shot or toe-alignment shims have fallen out.
