Congrats and welcome. If you already have experience in high power to weight cars with few safety features (i.e., no antilock brakes, traction control or factory designed in understeer) you should adapt quickly. If these features are new to you, I encourage you to take it easy for a while. An inexperienced driver can put a Cobra out of control with abrupt throttle on or off, downshifting improperly, locking up the brakes, or exceeding the tires' grip in a turn. If you need to learn these skills I suggest a short high performance driving school, or find a sports car club that does autocross events. I hope your Cobra experience is as safe as it is fun.
