I can take a picture of mine tonight, basically from memory the AC MKIV unit plate to car is flat.
All it would require is a block or peice of steel to be used as a spacer, no need to modify the units from drew. Redline may even have that route made?
Drews units are stepped, once filled in with a spacer it too flat.

Redline is a great start... #1
