Wire # 128 is the ignition wire. Someone must have cut 162 which is a turn signal wire and just spliced it. If you don't use the ballast # 138 is not used. The way it's setup is #128 to the ballast "in" and #138 "out. I'm not sure how the Crane unit works. Most electronic ignition setups have 1 wire on each side of the coil. If you give me some more info on the Crane system I'm sure I can help you wire it.
