Ed Cougar If you are worried about how hot the rear is, put some ducting on the center to move the air around. Where the rear is the air is dead with not much flow. You can always go like Nascar and add a cooler system to the rear. Get an infrared gun and check the temp after a 20 minute road test. If the rear is quiet I would change the oil, look for metal in the oil or drain plug, check for leaks, fill and HAPPY MOTORING. Make sure that it is filled to the correct level. Fill on level ground. Rick Lake ps a new rear and bearings take time to break in, couple of thousand miles. It is tight right now. Listen for noises is more important than how warm it is. Do you have backlash of .004-.008?? than it's OK.
