I thought the original 351Ws had a port on the water neck to allow a temp sensor.

The drill and tap method has worked for me in the past. Just remember to use a vacume to pull all the chips out and make sure you run the sensor in before you finish up.

Check the sensor to make sure it does not need a ground to operate. If is does, you may NOT want to use teflon paste. The resistance will give you a bad reading.
