But Mike,

Can you fit an esky in the engine bay or even a small bbq for those picnic runs? At least you wouldn't need gas to cook the snags.

The only problem I find is working on the damn engine, what with leaning over the gloss work it puts a different perspective on how to handle your tools - no jokes please.

Looking at Dennis Bedford's first DRB, the bonnet tilt idea seems a lot more practical, albeit doesn't seem to look as good.

Maybe Craig's is the way to go - drop a jet engine in and simply unbolt / bolt all the panels around it.
