Default Boss 429

I saw this on Gears TV show and thought this may be of some
interest. Jon Kaase has a Boss 429 top end that bolts
to a 460 block.

If these were available when building the motor for my car you can bet mine would be a Boss.Having a big block for me is mandatory making it a Boss anyway.

Hey guys makes no difference on size weather it is a 429 or 460 so although it is nice to build a Boss 429 it will not fit in most Cobras without a lot of modification to foot boxes and then the issue of height unless you don't mind a tall hood scoop. They are cool engines. Had a 1970 Boss 429 Mustang in the late 80s....

This I agree with since my 460 is a shoe horn fit.Was also considering a Cammer for the Cobra, was told up front it was wider and my not work.

A cammer fits, at least in an original Cobra. Attached is a pic of Carter Gette's (RIP) cammer-equipped 427 roadster circa 1974.

Yes I know it will fit, I too have an 8x10 of a cobra with a Cammer peeking out of the bay.Too late now the 460 is plenty of motor for this 2650lb hot rod. This car has a complete new drive train, freshened up the motor, aluminum flywheel blanced everything clutch included.Tremec TKO,and Strange aluminum 9" center section with 3:73 gear.It feels like it could pull the wheels with a pair of stickies out back. What a daydream though having a Cammer under the hood, heck if I had one there just might not be a hood!
