What aftermarket timing chain cover do you guys recommend for a new all aluminum 427 fe

there is not many choices out there i think you have 3
1) new shelby timing cover

2 genisis timing cover new

3) used timing cover

Thanks, I looked at the genisis and thought it was reasonably priced. Couldn't find many, just wanted to know what was out there.

The original cover is a nice light die casting. The aftermarket covers (Shelby, Genesis, Roush) are much heavier but nice sand castings. I really like factory timing covers...

Very early (1958/59) FE covers are stamped steel. They, like the early die cast covers, have provision for the spring and button cam tension system. Late 59 and up are the cast units. In 1962 they did away with the spring/button setup and went to the groove/plate cam retainer. All FE/FT covers are useable in all FE denominations.....332/352/360/361/390/391/406/410/427 and 428.

Ive tried to sell it for 10.00 about a dozen times on ebay and at this point, i would rather just be pass it on to a fellow replica or csx enthusiast for the cost of shipping.
