545 Rolling road

Hi Guys, just wanted to update a little on the Dax, got it up to a local rolling road last Sat just to set a baseline and see what was happening. The guy normally does scoobies etc so it was basically a few pulls to get some feedback, the power/torque both peaked way early at around 4200, the setup should rev to 6k and peak around 5300, and after getting home and checking the carb linkage, the secondaries had only just opened at almost full throttle at the pedal, so stretched cable etc probably. I will check the timing, and fuel delivery but main point was the engine held up ok, no nasty leaks or noises, the hp was 517, the torque 730 ft lb, I know the sidepipes will need opening out so all in all lots of power on the table yet. to refresh, its got TFS street heads ported by Scott Johnson, Victor manifold, xr292 solid roller cam, 1050 dominator(Pc carbs), scorpion rockers, 11-1 probe pistons, probe rocker girdle, backed currently by a Broader C6, to be changed for a TKO 600 in the future, so all in all pleased, with the cost of gas here in UK what it is I am Mad but what the hell.
